Enables secure, clientless remote access
Secure Remote Access for Virtual Environments
Affordable and easy to use, the Barracuda SSL VPN Vx is a virtual appliance ideal for giving remote users secure access to virtualized network resources. Based on Barracuda Network’s popular SSL VPN hardware appliance, the Barracuda SSL VPN Vx uses common browsers to give remote users secure network access from any computer — without the IP address conflicts caused by using IPsec VPN software clients.
Since users can access network resources through a wide variety of private and shared computers, the Barracuda SSL VPN Vx provides industry-leading protection against client vulnerabilities. A virtual keyboard is available to prevent key loggers from stealing users’ login credentials. Built in and thirdparty multifactor authentication ensures only authorized users can login, while network access control (NAC) only connects clients that meet chosen security standards. At the end of sessions, a cache cleaner removes session information from clients to prevent unauthorized information disclosure. For secure remote access through smart phones and other mobile devices, the Barracuda SSL VPN supports L2TP/IPsec and PPTP.
Integrated with LDAP and Active Directory, the Barracuda SSL VPN Vx lets administrators grant granular user access to applications, network places and web forwards based on user and group IDs as well as many other factors. Straightforward ControlThe Barracuda SSL VPN Vx makes its inclusive management features quickly accessible to administrators through an intuitive web UI. The UI’s dashboard gives administrators instant visibility into the activity of users, resources, sessions and other system information. The UI’s resources tab presents powerful policy features for managing user access to applications as well as drives, file shares, web forwards and other resources. The UI also streamlines managing user accounts as well as performing audits and reporting. Adding further convenience, the Barracuda SSL VPN Vx lets administrators browse into other systems for remote network administration.
