The Secure Access Wire-Closet Switch FortiSwitch-348B delivers outstanding price, performance, and scalability to organizations with diverse operational needs. It utilizes a 96 Gbps switch fabric and provides 48 Secure Access ports and 4 SFP uplink ports. These switches have 1RU rack mount form factor and designed to connect network devices to the Ethernet fabric, thereby reducing your overall deployment costs.
This switch integrates with FortiGate’s Switch Controller capability. Devices connecting the Ethernet ports are first identified and the user is authenticated. Once authenticated, appropriate policy as defined by IT is applied to contain the access of the device thus providing the Fortified access edge. The FortiSwitch platforms are purpose-built to meet the Ethernet infrastructure and provisioning needs of today’s network edge.
