The FortiSwitch 224B-POE is designed for mid-size businesses, classrooms and distributed remote locations that want to benefit from converged networking with lowest TCO.
This switch offers a total of 24 usable ports: 20 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports, and four copper 10/100/1000 ports shared with four hot-swappable Small Formfactor Pluggable (SFP) cages for optional fiber connectivity. This standards-based PoE Switch, provides power and data over the same Cat-5 UTP cable along with prioritization and SNMP making it ideal for deploying access points, VoIP phones and IP-based surveillance cameras. This high performing switch features a non-blocking wire-speed architecture with an 48 Gbps switching capacity for maximum data throughput.
This managed switch also provides capabilities for VLAN segmentation of your voice, video, data and wireless traffic. The FortiSwitch family is packaged in a compact 1RU form factor and designed to connect network devices to the Ethernet fabric, thereby reducing your overall deployment costs.
