The Meraki MR36 is super easy to operate, and 100% cloud-managed. It’s largely self-configuring. As such, this, like all Meraki access points, can be remotely deployed in minutes. After that, most actions in the cloud interface are point and click. Subsequently, you can have fully remote IT support for your hardware, virtually all the time. This greatly reduces the need for full-time IT staff on site. And, once up and running, you have an unprecedented level of monitoring and control of your network. Plus, since it’s is PoE, you need only a single cable for power and data, which makes for extremely neat, easy deployment.
Under the hood is a dedicated third radio for full-spectrum RF analysis, which basically tunes and optimizes MR36 channel and power useage. As a result, it can adapt to the most difficult RF environments. The MR36 also has a one BASE-T Ethernet (RJ45) port and an integrated BLE Beacon. Plus, it boasts a scanning radio, spectrum analytics, and 1.7 Gbps aggregate dual-band frame rate.
Meraki MR36 Highlights
The MR-36 has 2×2:2 radios. It is a MU-MIMO, 802.11ax access point that gets up to 1.7 Gbps aggregate frame rate. Additionally, it has an integrated scanning radio. Plus, it carries a full-time Wi-Fi location tracking via dedicated third radio. Also, it is optimized for voice and video.
The MR Enterprise license includes cloud-based centralized management. As such, the need for an on-site hardware controller is eliminated. You will have network-wide visibility and control. In addition, you can scale up to thousands of access points. Also, it features seamless firmware and security updates.
In addition, the MR Advanced license includes a device (Enterprise) license for an MR access point itself in addition to the Umbrella DNS security and content filtering integration.
